Red Rods

Ten red wooden rods, all of the same thickness but ranging in length from 1dm to 1m. Each successive rod is 1dm longer than the previous one. The longest rod is ten times the length of the shortest.

Purpose:
To develop understanding of differences in dimension and to improve co-ordination of movement, indirectly to prepare for linear measurment in mathematics.
